SATURDAY PRAYER
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
James 5:16
Who We Are
We, the Church, are powerless without prayer because prayer is the work and when we cease to pray, we are in essence telling the Lord that the good work He has begun in us is finished. Can you think of a time in our lives that we do not need prayer? Prayer is the very foundation that enables us to go from one measure of faith to another and from one reflection of His glory to another. It helps us in our weaknesses and strengthens us for the battle. If that is not awesome enough, He is also so gracious that He even gives us help when we do not know how we should pray or what we should pray. Believe and agree with us for the lost, a loved one, a sick one, an untoward one or His blessings for one. This is where we get to bare our soul to the Lord, seek His guidance, direction, ask that His will to be done in us, and stand in the gap for a myriad of others. Prayer is about a real God, visiting the lives of real people for a real purpose – His Purpose!
